yodaduendeIn flamenco and gypsy culture, there is a word that is used to describe when a musician is completely dialed into the moment, and in perfect emotional authenticity in their expression of the music. This word is Duende. They say Duende is like a spirit, which comes up from the ground through your feet from the Earth,  and comes through you into the music. It is said that when one channels Duende that one’s true nature is tapped into, and the essence of the moment may be expressed through the song.

Now the original meaning of the word Duende is actually meant as Elf or Faerie or Nature Spirits. So when one taps into this essence, one is allowing the natural true sELF to come through and express through song.
